Solas - Scenic Dissasembly

How to compose a dramaturgy from testimony? Which body represents each character? What scenic form can give shape to this narrative? How to be honest and add a poetic layer to this story?

Opening a process reveals ways of creating, questioning oneself about the world and the constant search for the right measure between the scene and the idea that precedes it. In our performance Solas – Scenic Disassembly the theatre directress Fernanda Areias and the actress Eliane Umuhire, based on the technique Scenic Disassembly developed by the mexican researcher Ileana Diéguez, to show the grooves in the creation process of the documentary play Solas.

The original play is based on testimonies of women who migrated alone to France, through interviews conducted by Fernanda Areias. In this version presented for Diskursfestival we open our scenic box and expose our drafts of this performance in creation.
